How Rasterbator handles data

Privacy Policy

Understand what Rasterbator stores locally, how consent works, and how analytics or advertising will be handled if enabled in future releases.

Last updated: April 29, 2026

01.Image Processing on Your Device

Rasterbator processes source images locally in your browser for preview and export. We do not upload, persist, or server-render your poster image files.

Rasterbator is designed as a local-first application. When you select an image or PDF to create a poster, the file is read and processed entirely within your web browser. We do not upload, transmit, or store your source files on our servers.

Because the core generation engine runs on your device, your images remain private. We cannot view, access, or share the artwork you choose to print.

02.Technical Data and Preferences

To operate the interface, Rasterbator stores limited client-side preferences such as selected language, theme, and cookie consent state.

To ensure the application functions smoothly, we collect basic technical information automatically provided by your browser, such as your user agent, screen resolution, and preferred language.

We also use your device's Local Storage to remember your settings between visits. This includes your interface language, light/dark theme preference, and your choice regarding cookie consent. This data remains on your device and is not synchronized to a user account.

03.Analytics and Advertising Services

Analytics and AdSense are planned for future rollout. If non-essential tracking is enabled, we will request consent before setting related cookies and update this page with exact providers and purposes.

At present, Rasterbator operates without non-essential tracking. In the future, we may integrate analytics services (such as Google Analytics) and advertising networks (such as Google AdSense) to help us understand usage patterns and fund the service.

If these services are activated, we will deploy a consent management platform. No non-essential cookies will be placed on your device until you have provided explicit consent. When active, these third-party services may collect IP addresses and usage data in accordance with their respective privacy policies.

3. Analytics and Advertising Services

Analytics and AdSense are planned for future rollout. If non-essential tracking is enabled, we will request consent before setting related cookies and update this page with exact providers and purposes.

Advertising Cookies

Advertising providers may set cookies to measure campaigns and personalize ad delivery. These cookies are enabled only after consent when the ad stack is activated.

04.Cookies and Local Storage

Today, essential local storage is used for UX preferences and consent memory. Optional analytics/ads cookies are not active by default in the current release.

Rasterbator uses strictly necessary local storage mechanisms to save your preferences and consent state, which do not require prior consent under current regulations.

Optional cookies for analytics or targeted advertising are not active by default. You can manage or revoke your consent at any time via the cookie settings link in the footer once those features are introduced.

05.Your Choices

You can clear browser storage at any time, decline optional consent, and stop using the service if you disagree with future policy updates.

Depending on your jurisdiction (such as under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you.

Since Rasterbator does not create user accounts or store personal files on our servers, we hold minimal data. You can clear all associated local data simply by clearing your browser's local storage and cookies for this site.
